[SOLVED] Cant log in
 

I apologize but wonder of you have any ideas to help. Everything with the site is great except that when logging in as a general member it won't validate. It just goes to a bad page.

Please respond and I'll send you basic login creds to try.

Hi - I don't understand what you mean. Are you talking about your site? If so, kindly provide a link to the site (which can be sent via PM) and any access credentials (which should always be via PM). Cheers!

Hi - I tried to log into your site, and I cannot. However, let me ask a question: Do you have an SSL certificate installed on your server? Any time I try to connect to your server with an "https" prefix, it fails regardless of trying to login or just access the page.

I do not have a cert., but not sure why that would matter. I had login capability on the old site and never had an issue and I had the same login capability here until the other day.

Could it be due to something in the html that I added for Google Analytics?

Could it be a module or component conflict?

I just don't know, but I really need to get this resolved relatively quickly, so any help or thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi - It makes a huge difference if you do not have an SSL cert and you try to use one. For some reason, your site attempts to use the 'HTTPS' prefix. You can duplicate this yourself by putting in any credentials and trying to log into your site.

Could it be due to something in the html that I added for Google Analytics? Yes, this issue could very well be related to the use of Google Analytics. Perhaps it is associated with some redirect? Have you looked at your Joomla! installation and made sure that you do not have the 'Encrypt Login Form' option enabled in any login extension?

Could it be a module or component conflict? I have never seen this, and I do not see how an extension conflict could cause this, unless you have some non-standard extensions in use.

I'll tell you what, I love you guys. It was just as you said, I used the encrypt setting. My bad.

I will never buy a template from anyone else, YouJoomla is the best.

You can use that quote if you like. I'll be buying another template from you in a week or two for a client.
