Params.ini - strange thing! (especially for Neo)

Hi,
I have the Destination template. The file params.ini is unwritble
I tried to follow Neos suggetion. I changed the original code with this:

menuName=mainmenu
menuStyle=2
templateTools=1
pathway=1
defaultcolor=green
sitewidth=wide
fontsize=medium
seo=Joomla Software solutions Template
tags=Joomla Software, Joomla Templates, Youjoomla
activsifr=disable
sifrstyle=Copperplate

It works!!!!! But when i change the defaultcolor it doesnt work anymore!Why?I want change the default color from green to royal. Thank you
