Im having problems getting the tabs in the MyBlog template to position properly or show dynamically.
The setup:
1. Tab 1, Tab 2, and Tab 3 are enabled.
2. My photos, My Videos and Latest Posts are enabled. They are configured to show, respectively, in Tabs 1-3.
3. Site is loaded with demo data, so the tab content is present and published.
4. Site is at:
http://dnadropbox.com/jm/
Discoveries:
1. There is no module position named \tabs\ in \module positions.\ This is verified in this link:
http://joomla1.0.youjoomla.info/myblog/ (the \Module positions\ tab).
2. To me, the lack of a module position to display Tabs 1, 2, 3 only leaves me with two choices: Tell either the \Tabs\ or tell the \My....\ content to display in Advert2, which is where it is on the demo site above.
3. When I put the \My....\ blocks in Advert2, the tabs show, but dont expand/contract, and I cant get them to display in the order I want.
4. Manually positioning individual tabs in the Advert2 position is like trying to hold mercury. The best I could do is display them in this order: \Latest Posts\, \My Photos,\ \My Videos\ and \Advertise Here.\ What I wanted to do was this order: \My Photos\, \My Videos,\ \Latest Posts\ and \Advertise Here\ (just like the demo).
5. Regardless of where they are now -- the tabs are static; meaning they do not expand/contract dynamically.
My attempts at solutions:
1. I have read everything having to do with \Tabs\ in the YouJoomla forums, and have found nothing to tell me how to do what I want (see above). It has been nearly a week, and I cannot figure out how to get these tabs to work properly, and am about to ditch them altogether.
2. Perhaps I am missing a module to make the tabs dynamic?
3. Should I buy more brain cells from Sears?
Any help appreciated. Ive run out of ideas.
