Help Help Help!... I need to expand the top menu

Hi,

I am trying to expand the top menu but the background is not red. Is there any way I can increase the size of red background.

You will see that Education and Technical Analysis menu background are transparent. I need to put red bacground or another colour to get them visible.

I also tried to create new menu and put additional menu items into this but it's not showing like on the top menu in a horizontal way although I cant the main menu 2 settings to list in a horizontal way.

Hi - When I visited your site, it appears you have added so many parent menu items that it continues on a second line. This in turn throws off the whole layout of the site by shifting contents to the right. You might consider reducing the number of items on your menu, or adjusting the width available for each, so that the parent menu items do not exceed the available space.

Thank you for your response. I can't reduce the number of items. Actually I need to add one more items. Is there anyway to have two lines on the top menu?

I need to reduce the number of items then. How can I put search box in the middle of Learn Trading Logo and Log in at the top of the screen. If I can get rid of search parent menu item I will have space there.

What you can do is add a module position to the header for the search.
This is considered custom work and not supported in forum, but here is link to tutorial:

You can also make a menu for the search and publish it in right positoion or in the user positions at the bottom of the page.
or make custom html module and link from there to the search menu you already created. (must be published, so if it is in main menu and you don't have space for it there, you should make new menu for it)

Can you not use the option to make some of those menu items as submenus from the parent ones? Then you make space and all menus are at the top

you can also go in module manager and publish the search module to a position you have avaliable, such as some of the bottom users or right
