Can YJ K2 Filter work on K2 Date Extra Field

I'm needing a filter for theatre show listings that can filter by the K2 Date extra field. Does the YJ K2 filter do this and how would it work?

Could you filter all shows with a start date after the one selected in the filter, or would it only show the items with the exact start date as selected in the filter.

I'm guessing filtering for shows between a chosen start and end date is too complex for the standard functionality?

Are there are demos or examples of this you can point me towards?

YJ K2 Filter filters items by their extra fields so it is up to you what the items will be connected by
