I am trying to renew, but I am not seeing the renewal discount being applied.

Are you sure your are posting in product assigned forum?: Yes

What is your CMS version?: N/A

MySQL Version: N/A

PHP version: N/A

Link to installation: n/a

Have you edited any files? If yes tell us which ones.: N/A

Is this personal or client website?: Personal

Thanks Arefund.

Please look again. The screenshot that you send me do not even show the Platinum plan.

Also, when you go to renew membership, the Platinum plan does not show. Please look at that.

When I find the Platinum plan and click on it, it is showing me the full amount $88.

Do I need to enter a code to get the renewal discount?

Your membership has expired 05/30/2014 so you can't get the discount.
You need an active membership and then when you renew your membership you get the discount. Right now your is expired and you can only purchase the plan with the full amount.

I must have been mistaken because I thought renewal was done when subscription expired and not before.

So you are saying that only active subscription owners can renew their accounts. It is a bit strange for me, but it is Youjoomla's policy, so I will have to work with it.

Right, you need an active subscription in order to get the discount for the package you want to purchase, otherwise if the subscription expired and you want to renew you have to purchase the membership, full price.
