Hello

Not sure if this is a youjoomla security feature but when I try to edit the index.php using the joomla backend (template manager>the template I'm using>edit html)I get a blank box where my index.php file for my template is supposed to be.

I guess the only way to edit the index.php file is via FTP?

Hello
I don't know what template you are using, but this is not a security feature.
Get the file via ftp.
Look at the licence at the top where you see the copyright symbole in front of Youjoomla
Change this to (C) please (from the symbole) save and upload the file again and you should now be able to edit the file from the administrator.
The same goes for all the css files if you want to be able to access them from the admin area you would need to look for this.
