Hi All,

Just joined on Platinum membership to test a few things.

I am unsure whether to download the Demo or the Template?
What are the differences.

Also if you download both do these both count towards my 5 allocation.

Also is it 5 templates or 5 items e.g. 2 templates and 3 extensions.

Sorry if these are obvious questions. Did search around the site but
could not find the details I needed.

Thanks in advance.

Downloading the Template only will give you just that, the template. By viewing the demo, you would need to determine which extensions and/or other content is necessary to complete your site. No extensions or modules are included in a Template download.

If you download and install the Demo file, you will wind up with an install that should look exactly like the demo shown on the demo.youjoomla.com site. It will install just like any other Joomla! install, but will be configured with the template you downloaded. The version of Joomla! contained in the demo is noted on the download page, and is usually the latest version. When a new version of Joomla! is released, it will understandably take a few days for the youdemo.com downloads page to catch up. You can simply upgrade your site with the latest Joomla! package, should you desire to implement the upgrade.

If you downloaded both the Template and Demo, you would only install one or the other on any given domain. That would be 1 towards your domain limit of 5. If you downloaded both, and installed the Template on abc.com and the Demo on xyz.com, then that would count as 2 of your domain limit of 5.

You can use any combination of templates or extensions on up to 5 domains total. Note that the Platinum membership license limits this to 5 of YOUR domains, not those of your friends or customers. Please respect this. If even one installation is to be done on a domain other than yours, consider the Developer membership.

The no domain limit associated with the Developer membership is not intended to allow an unlimited number of your friends to have access to Youjoomla templates or extensions. It is designed to allow YOU to install templates and extensions on your personal or clients' sites. The rights of the membership remain with you and do not transfer to your client.

Hopefully my reply is clear enough to answer your questions. If my understanding and details are incorrect, then Neo or someone with a better understanding will surely correct my inaccuracies.
